An odd couple roars into town -- and they're not your typical
tourists. the good-looking one is ex-seminarian and "road" scholar
Travis O'Hearn. His companion -- the green one -- is called Catch:
conqueror of kings, gourmand of human flesh, a demon with an attitude.
Catch has given Travis eternal youth. Travis wants to give Catch a
one-way ticket back to the infernal place he came from.
Now Catch is hungry, and the quiet California resort spot spreads
before him like a four-star buffet. But Pine Cove has its own arsenal
of magic hidden behind its fake Tudor facade. From the Law to the
lovelorn, from wineheads to witches, the town's motley lot of likeable
losers will be ready when all hell breaks loose... |

"Practical Demonkeeping is practically perfect! It's one of
the few and special novels that conveys a sense that the author had as
much fun writing it as his audience will have in reading it. Can
hardly wait for the next one -- the Moore, the merrier!" |

"Moore's comedic style is refreshingly relaxed and good-natured;
when it comes time for him to deliver a satirical barb, he does so
with reliable accuracy. It delivers chuckles, chills and an
emotionally satisfying ending." |
